INTRODUCTION:
Dadasons (Private) Limited, Karachi, Pakistan, is one of the oldest cotton trading companies in Pakistan, incorporated in the 1950s. It has more than 50 years of experience in the cotton ginning and cotton export business. The company was founded by the company’s former chairman Mr. Aba Umer Dada (late), an illustrious entrepreneur hailing from the land of cotton fields, Gujrat. Thus, this combination of Gujrat and cotton became the sole initiation of Dadasons. The company was formed on the principles of honesty and hard work. He was a self made and renowned businessman of Pakistan with extensive knowledge of cotton, grains and other trades.
Mr. Abdul Shakoor Dada (late), the eldest son of Mr. Aba Umer Dada held chairmanship of the company until 2025. He joined the company after his graduation in 1964 and amassed business experience, in the field of cotton, of more than 35 years. Under his stewardship, the company grew to become one of Pakistan's largest cotton exporters and established a wide global footprint. Mr. Abdul Shakoor Dada also served the Karachi Cotton Association as Chairman, Vice Chairman and director, over several terms.
Currently, Mr. Atif Dada, son of Mr. Abdul Shakoor Dada, serves as Chairman of the company. His patronage is another significant chapter in Dadasons' legacy. Mr. Atif Dada has also served:
