Apart from cotton and cotton waste trading, our sister concern Star Cotton Corporation (Private) Limited, Karachi, is a major ship breaker in Pakistan. It handles the import of demolition vessels and has ship-breaking yards at Gadani beach at a distance of 35 kilometers from Karachi with ship-breaking capacity of around 100,000 tons annually. Last year the company imported four demolition vessels of around 60,000 tons of LDT with the turnover of Pakistani Rs. 491.400 (M) equivalent to US$:10.920 (M).
